As part of its appeal, it uses rare-earth color enhancing phosphors to emit sparkling, blue-white rays. These compact fluorescent lamps emits powerful lumen output without consuming high energy or producing excessive heat. True Actinic 03 Blue Coralife Compact Fluorescent Replacement Lamp. This lamp straddles the 420 nanometer range which beautifully reflects color pigments in organisms such as corals, fish and invertebrates causing them to glow fluorescently. The spectrum resembles that of the absorption peak of chlorophyll-a which is the most important pigment found in plant cells.
50/50 Coralife Compact Fluorescent Replacement Lamp. The 50/50 refers to a mixture of 50% 6,000K natural daylight and 50% True Actinic 03 Blue phosphors. As above, this type of lamp is perfect for organisms which thrive on light and photosynthesis.
